The republican festival of Ukrainian folk song “Pshenichno Pereveslo” has been held in Pridnestrovie for the 16th time. Venues for the event are always different. This year, Rybnitsa is hosting participants and guests. Creative competition of vocalists and musical groups will be held today in the city Palace of Culture.

On the occasion of the event significant for the development of Ukrainian culture, a delegation from Ukraine arrived in Pridnestrovie. Its representatives were received by the PMR President. The meeting took place at the presidential executive office on the eve of the festival. Interlocutors Vadim Krasnoselsky - deputy director of the Institute of Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Sergey Galchenko, member of the board of the All-Ukrainian Union "Prosvita" Vladimir Semistyaga, head of the Ukrainian center "Sotrudnichestvo" Vladimir Fomenko and chairman of the jury of the upcoming festival, People's Artist of Ukraine Svetlana Mirvoda. The meeting was also attended by the Special Representative of the PMR President on cooperation with Ukraine Vladimir Smirnov and Chairman of the Union of Ukrainians of Pridnestrovie Petro Bogutsky.

Vadim Krasnoselsky welcoming the guests called the “Pshenichno Pereveslo” Festival an excellent occasion for communication that has already become traditional. The PMR President expressed gratitude to the interlocutors for their contribution to the preservation of Ukrainian traditions, which are an integral part of the history and culture of the Pridnestrovian people, as well as for their creative and social activities aimed at strengthening and developing the Pridnestrovian-Ukrainian relations. The fact that many ethnic Ukrainians and Pridnestrovians with Ukrainian citizenship lives in the republic was mentioned. They spoke of respect for the traditions, culture and languages ​​of the nationalities whose representatives live in the territory of the PMR.

The guests expressed gratitude to the leadership, people of Pridnestrovie and personally Vadim Krasnoselsky for the respectful attitude to Ukrainian culture and the measures taken to preserve and develop it. Words of gratitude - for supporting the festival of the Ukrainian folk song “Pshenichno Pereveslo”.

Concluding the meeting, the PMR President wished the organizers, participants and members of the jury of the festival good mood, successful holding of the event, emphasizing that this is the case when work is fun and emotions are positive.
