Vadim Krasnoselsky held a meeting devoted to the Catherine Park that is in the center of the Pridnestrovian capital. The Head of the Tiraspol administration Oleg Dovgopol and the chief architect of the city Vitaly Goncharov were involved in the discussion that took place at the presidential executive office.
The Head of the capital informed the President that the work in de Volan square - a significant part of the future park - was almost completed. Small architectural forms are installed, landscaping is carried out, irrigation system is functioning, sidewalks and paths are covered with tiles. The final touch is the front arch. The design of the entrance group is at the final stage.
In parallel, work is underway on the opposite side of the central road connecting the two parts of the park. Here the so-called health path is being laid, a restaurant complex is being built, a fountain group is being laid, rotundas are ready. In the near future - laying of paving slabs near the monument to Suvorov. The coating will be granite at its base. Particular attention is paid to the living labyrinth, in the center of which there will be a miniature tower with a bell, by calling which a visitor will inform about the successful passage of the path. An important component of the city project is the gaming zone. Behind the Palace of Children and Youth Creativity there will be an amusement park. The name has yet to be given (the choice, according to Oleg Dovgopol, will be made by the public), but it is already known that the object will occupy an area of 87 square meters. Investment project. By investing in the development of urban infrastructure and the leisure and tourism industry of the republic, the entrepreneur also assumes social obligations. Equipping the gaming sector with machinery and equipment will be foreign, and the design is conceived with avoiding foreign influence: visitors will be greeted by famous heroes of folk tales, Soviet and Russian cartoons (example: a fountain in the form of the three-headed Serpent Gorynych). A sightseeing train will run across the territory of the amusement park. Experimental - developing rooms are supposed. The President listened to a report on the progress and plans for further improvement of the capital’s center.
The President invited investors and heads of contracting organizations responsible for individual objects included in the general project called the Catherine Park to a working conversation. Vadim Krasnoselsky asked about the progress in work and difficulties that have to be encountered in its course, gave a number of recommendations and instructions. It was noted at the meeting that the idea, which most recently seemed to many to be impracticable, successfully implemented. The park, which was still named after the great Russian Empress, is officially opening the gates to residents of Tiraspol on September 2, 2020 - the day of the 30th anniversary of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
