President of the PMR Vladimir Krasnoselsky in an interview with Tsargrad TV Channel commented on the desire of the residents of the republic to remain part of the Russian world. The Head of the State reminded that after the collapse of the Soviet Union Pridnestrovie was cut off from its historical Motherland.
“People of 72 nationalities, different faiths live on the territory of Pridnestrovie. We have never had ethnic or national problems. We do not divide people by skin color, language, ethnicity, culture. We live all together. For 30 years, we have formed a community – Multinational Pridnestrovian people”, the President said.
According to Vadim Krasnoselsky, Russia is also a multinational state where people of different nationalities can feel free and develop their culture.
“That’s what attracts us. This is the Russian world – a community where people of different nationalities, different faiths can feel free and develop their culture”, the Head of the state noted.
The President of the PMR reminded that for Pridnestrovians Russia was the mother state. At the same time, the Republic is still in a state of international non-recognition.
“We have been living in a state of non-recognition for 30 years. We are independent, but we are not recognized. It's not easy. Our people are constantly in tension. From foreign policy, from geopolitical, from neighbours, from blockades and so on”, the President added.
