The brand of Pridnestrovie will be designed

Russian designers will help to do it

Tiraspol, November 5. / Novosti Pridnestrovia/. Pridnestrovie will have its own brand. It will help to promote the Republic on the world tourism market and not only in it. Today, the first brand session was held. Representatives of travel companies, authorities, public organizations, cultural figures and citizens came together to share ideas about what they put into the concept of "Pridnestrovie". Answers to a number of questions will help to make some idea or image that best reflects the characteristics of our region.

"We must answer the questions that determine the positioning of the territory, main markets, social groups, the main products that need to be emphasized. The brand platform also consists of some images, symbols, signs, in which everyone puts their meanings. For example, divin producers think about vines and grapes, other industrial plants and students think about other things," explained the curator of the project, President of the National tourism organization of Ukraine, Ivan Liptuga.

Professional designers will consider all these opinions and images. Negotiations are underway with the Artemiy Lebedev. In his portfolio has already many successful brands. Experts say that  the most important thing is not to get bogged down in excessive detail of the exterior, but to fill the image with real meaning. In this case, brands not only glorify the territory or product but also begin to live their own lives. As an example is Odessa anchor. It is already strongly associated with the city in the minds of both citizens and guests.

“We cannot continue to remain in the past. Our strategic goal is tourism development. We need to develop different ways of Pridnestrovian tourism promotion. This is a website, and various types of promotions, and without a brand, it will be unprofessional. The purpose of our today’s meeting is to create a basis for the designers’ work. When they come to us, I think they will offer a lot of interesting ideas,” said Deputy Minister of economic development Natalia Sitkina.

Such brand sessions or meetings will be held one more time. The task will be sent to designers when the image of Pridnestrovie becomes more or less clear and accepted by the majority.

“Creating a country brand is a difficult process that takes several years. It all starts with creation of a brand platform, and then it passes the stage of recognition by all layers of society. It is very important to go through all these stages - from discussion on the networks to criticism and acceptance, when all this passes, it is used as an effective tool. Pridnestrovie is a very interesting case with an extraordinary modern history, and it is very interesting how residents and business representatives illusion its image in perspective,” Ivan Liptuga said.
