Tiraspol, October 29. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The wines of the Kvint plant from Tiraspol became winners of the International Lev Golitsyn Wine Competition, which was held as part of the IX All-Russian Summit of Winemakers in Yalta (Crimea) from October 24 to 26.
The tasting competition was held according to the rules of the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV). The website of the Pridnestrovian enterprise reported that the samples was evaluated by a reputable jury composed of foreign judges - eminent oenologists, well-known wine critics, experts with experience in judging prestigious international competitions, as well as leading Russian oenologists and wine experts, independent critics and wine journalists.
By the decision of the jury, the wines of the Tiraspol Wine and Divins Factory KVINT were awarded four silver and two gold medals. Among the leaders were sweet white wine Viorika Icewine and liqueur white wine Viorika. Dry white wines Viorika VINVOYAGE and Sauvignon Blanc, dry pink wine Pinot Noir GOURMET, dry red Merlot are silver medalists.
The International Lev Golitsyn Wine Competition was established in honor of the 125th anniversary of the Massandra winery created by Knyaz Golitsyn.
