Tiraspol, October 11. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. On the second day of the Pridnestrovian International Investment Economic Forum, one of the platforms was dedicated to education in the modern world. The main topic of the discussion was the training of future specialists. The section moderate was the Chairman of the Expert Council on Culture at the State Duma Youth Parliament and President of Independent Youth, Alexander Solonkin
The first speaker, the representative of the educational center Development, Svetlana Turchak, spoke about modern trends in education. In her opinion, first of all children should be taught to navigate in the information space, look for useful information and use it.
Speaking about the relations of teachers and students, Svetlana Turchak also touched on the problem of generations’ difference,
“Students and schoolchildren are Generation Z, people of “horizontal knowledge.” They know a lot of things, but just a little, they easily learn on their own. But generation X teaches them. These are people of “vertical knowledge”, for whom the quality and depth of the knowledge are very important,” she said.
According to the General Director of the Israeli company Magic Square, Andrei Neyman, today a personal approach to education is becoming increasingly important.
“Today, person cannot learn everything. Therefore, personalization in srudying is necessary. More specialized lessons will not cause hostility to study. Thanks to this approach, you can prepare specialists who are truly interested in their profession. It is such workers who will bring much more benefit,” Andrei Neyman said.
Director of the Institute for the Development of Education and Continuing Education Vladimir Protsenko agreed with this. But at the same time, he noted the importance of studying basic knowledge.
“Undoubtedly, there should be a personalization of studying. You must choose the route of your movement by yourself, but do not forget about the basic knowledge which is base of other things,” Vladimir Protsenko said.
At the end of the discussion, Alexander Solonkin noted that knowledge was the currency of the 21st century, and time was the most important resource.
