Tiraspol, October, 3. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. On October 10, the VII Pridnestrovian International Investment Economic Forum (PIIEF) will be start. The second day sections will be almost entirely focused on the development of the tourism industry.
As Deputy Minister of Economic Development Natalya Sitkina noted in an interview with Novosti Pridnestrovya, it is the first time that an international forum will bring together so many authoritative figures in the tourism business in the republic.
The plenary session on October 11 will be focused on territory marketing. Its moderator will be the Ukraine National Tourism Organization president Ivan Liptuga. The speakers’ participation from Moldova, Russia, Belarus, France, Italy and other countries is expected.
“During the session, we will talk about tourist trends, what new trends are in branding the territory, how we see the presentation of our territory on the world market today,” Natalya Sitkina said.
Also, within the framework of the forum, a program for supporting the development of tourism and, separately, tourist offers from Pridnestrovie will be presented.
“The most important thing that we will declare about ourselves is that Pridnestrovie is there and we have people capable of developing the tourism industry. We hope that our tour operators will be able to establish direct contacts with representatives of foreign business. In general, the development of tourism is the result of painstaking systematic work without regard to political aspects, since tourism should be out of politics,” the Deputy Minister emphasized.
On October 12, information tours on tourist routes will be held for guests. After that, representatives of the tourism business will be invited to the wine and grapes festival in the Bendery Fortress.
Natalya Sitkina noted that the forum would be an important event in the framework of the tourism development program for 2019–2026, adopted in June.
“Already today work is underway to install new plates, create tourist marks, and improve the legislative framework. A contract has been signed for the creation of commercials, we are negotiating with a branding company, and the development of the main brand will depend on the creation of the website, on carrying out of the advertising companies,” the Deputy Minister said.
