THREE KICKBOXERS FROM TIRASPOL WON EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP MEDALS

Tiraspol, September, 1. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Three trainees of the Tiraspol junior sports school for wrestling and boxing won the medals of the European Kickboxing Championship among children, juniors and cadets, which was being held from August 24 to August 31 in the Hungarian city of Gyor. The competition was attended by about 2,000 athletes from 39 countries.

According to the website of the State Sports Service, Viktor Nechitailo (weight category up to 57 kg, 7 participants) in the U-18 senior junior group, section K-1, defeated the Portuguese athlete Daniel Andrade in the final fight 3-0 and won gold medal.

Mikhail Antokha won silver medal. He performed in the weight category over 81 kg in the group of junior juniors U-16, low-kick section (4 participants). Mikhail Antokha turned out to be stronger than the Russian Leonid Afonin, but in the final lost to his teammate Rostislav Kopusov with a score 0: 3.

In the same group, but in the full-contact section, Nikita Osadchy became a bronze medalist (up to 51 kg, 4 participants). In the opening fight, he lost to the representative of Russia.

At the championship, the first team place was taken by the Russian national team: it has 64 gold medals. Hungary, Italy, Bulgaria and Ireland are also in the top five. The Moldavian team is in 21st place.

The next major stratum for Pridnestrovian fighters is the adult world championship. It will be held October 19-27 in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina). Winners will be determined in the sections light-contact, kick-light and K-1. There are Maxim Kazaku and Vladislav Chegurko in the team.
