Tiraspol, July 23. / Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Yana Garayeva from Bendery will participate in the final of the European Youth Olympic Festival which takes place in Baku from July 21 to July 27. The sportswoman successfully passed qualification in hurdling at 400 meters distance and entered the top-8, Radio 1 reports.
The sportswoman from Spain showed the best time in preliminary running: she was the only one who passed the distance less than in a minute.
The final running at 400 meters distance will take place on July 25. Sportswomen from Russia, Germany, France, Norway, Denmark and Greece will fight for medals.
By the way, more than 3,500 athletes from 48 countries aged from 12 up to 18 years participate in the Festival.
Among them, there are two more sportswomen from Bendery. Anna Karamanutse prior to the final in long jumps lacked 15 cm. Her result – 5 m 31 cm. The champion of the Balkan Games Yuliana Dabizha tomorrow will participate in the qualification competitions in a triple jump.
Besides, the Tiraspol cyclist participates in two races: an individual from separate start and group.
