Bendery, July, 13. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. In the park of Alexander Nevsky, located in the Bendery fortress, there was held a large-scale retro festival Focus on the 90s. All those who decided to spend this evening in the walls of the citadel, got a unique opportunity to go back a few decades into the past.

The immersion into the atmosphere of that time moved like lightning: at the central gates of the fortress, guests were greeted by the old Mercedeses, BMWs and walking strollers in crimson jackets. Many guests also decided to comply with the dress code: the girls put on leggings and mini-skirts, tied their hair with colored rubber bands and made bouffants and bangs a la visor (the peak of the fashion of the 90s). Men came in bright jackets, “tie-dyes” and sneakers with colored laces.

Catherine Bushlanova from Bendery learned from her parents about what were the 90s. The girl herself was born in 1997.

“For me, that period is associated with the movie “Brigada”, gangster BMWs and bright clothes, but my parents speak about the 90s with great warmth and nostalgia,” she said.

Today, Director of the Bendery P. Tkachenko Palace of Culture Anatoly Korol connected with the role of criminal authority of the nineties.

“These were years of complete freedom of action, real freewheeling 1990s, which I experienced personally,” Anatoly recalls.

One of the locations helped to remember what the interiors of the apartments were at that time: wall-hanging carpets, folding sofas, sideboards filled with dishes and crystal, “VCRs” and two-cassette tape recorders.

The Field of Wonders show and the romantic show Love at First Sight are sensational and very popular TV projects from the 90s. Everyone could turn the wheel of fortune or try to arrange their personal life today by visiting the corresponding interactive locations in the park of Alexander Nevsky.

The festival organizers also provided a kaleidoscope of entertainment for children. Cars and trampolines, and also Happy Starts and Call of the Jungle sports grounds were waiting for kids.

At the Busy Hands site, they suggested decorating their body with a henna pattern, or capturing their image in a portrait. There were wearable shifters for kids. In addition, an exhibition of vintage cars was held on the territory of the park. Guests had a chance to have a snack at Smak.

The central action of the retro festival took place on the stage. This evening, there were held Crimson Jackets Party and 1990s style concert program.
