Bender, July 11. / Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The era of the Middle Ages will reign in the Bendery Fortress on July 20 – 21. Guests and citizens are invited to visit these days a festival of historical fight «Sword of Genoa».
In a two-day tournament about 50 participants from Pridnestrovie, Ukraine and Moldova will fight for a rank of the best in professional duels.
The ceremonial opening will begin at 15:00 with a parade of teams. Then participants will battle in the nominations «Board and Sword», fights «5х5».
Besides, in the territory of the Fortress thematic locations with handicraftsmen, an exhibition of weapon and armour, portable trade will be organized. It will be still possible to try the hand in a clay moulding, blacksmithing and also to ride horses.
The festival will come to the end with a concert which will begin at 21:00. The rock group «Empire» from Zaporizhia (Ukraine) will perform cover hits of such popular groups as «Aria», «Scorpions», «Queen», etc.
By the way, organizers of the event look for volunteers for work at the festival. Protection of knights camps, stadium zones and knights recreation area, help to cashiers, technical workers, etc. Main requirements: age of 20 years, the Pridnestrovian mobile phone, ability to work in a team.
