Tiraspol, June, 28. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. In Tiraspol, there was presented 11th release of the “Pridnestrovian Heritage” Historical and Cultural Almanac. Every year a conference is held in the republic dedicated to the cultural heritage in the system of spiritual values of Pridnestrovian society. Reports, articles and reports from this conference are the basis for creating an almanac. This year there are 4 sections: “Historical and Cultural Heritage”, “Archive”, “Social and Cultural Activities and Artistic Creativity” and “Ethnography. Regional Studies. Tourism".
“The collection includes about 40 articles, whose authors are clergy, art historians, historians, local historians, ethnographers and geographers. The task of this almanac is to reveal the main interesting moments from the history of culture of our region. These are Orthodoxy, folk culture, life, professional and amateur art, and much more,” the founder and editor-in-chief of the Almanac “Pridnestrovian Heritage” Nikolay Dymchenko said.
The current release was prepared with the support of the Tiraspol Interregional University, the Association of Cultural Workers MARKIS and the Tiraspol-Dubossary Diocese.
“The palette is very diverse, and anyone interested will find for himself living and effective moments of what we met, or of the historical path our ancestors walked,” Archbishop of Tiraspol and Dubossary Savva said at the presentation.
Today, there was held presentation for the authors, one Almanac was given to each of them. In total, there are 100 of them in this release. In the future, the Almanacs will go to libraries, museums and educational institutions.
