The PMR President keeps under control the implementation of programs aimed at improving the social infrastructure. Today, the center of attention of the President was the capital facilities built and repaired with the funds of the Capital Investment Fund. Accompanied by the head of the Tiraspol administration Oleg Dovgopol, and the head of the Department of Construction, Architecture and Road Management of the PMR Ministry of Economic Development Ivan Untu, Vadim Krasnoselsky visited the building where the Republican Sports and Rehabilitation Center for the Disabled will be located in the near future. Idle unfinished for many years building in Lenin street was commissioned by the President in 2018 to the institution. Then the first half million rubles were allocated for the “revival”. Financing, and therefore work, continues in the current year. FKV-2019 provides for the allocation of 3.7 million rubles. To date, roofing is installed, windows, doors, stained glass windows and partitions, heat and electricity, water supply and sewer system. On the basis of the center, whose representatives for many years huddle in unsuitable, mostly basement rooms, develop more than a dozen sports, hold competitions and cultural events. It is planned that the new spacious, well-equipped and adapted housing for the disabled will be equipped not only with classrooms, including new game sports, but also rooms for rehabilitation procedures, library for blind people and recording studio. Purchased gym machines are waiting in the wings. The President inspected the finished and repaired premises. He drew attention to their spaciousness and height of ceilings. The interlocutors discussed the procedure for further work, based on the principles of rationality. The President gave a number of recommendations and instructions, noting that it was impossible to delay the delivery of significant social object. Almost two thousand people are waiting for openning, whose state of health and physical characteristics require the creation of special conditions for playing sports and creativity. There is no such center in neighboring states, it was noted during the inspection. Nobody doubts its relevance among Pridnestrovian disabled people. “It will be a large complex, in which everyone who, due to physical features, has restrictions in movement, will be given the opportunity to play sports, physical education, history, literature, science, after all, just to communicate. This is very important for the full socialization of people with special needs”, said Vadim Krasnoselsky.
Pupils - children with problems of the musculoskeletal system and other diagnoses that do not allow them to study in classical educational institutions, are waiting for housewarming party. The existing building of specialized institution does not meet the specific needs of children, as the leadership and parents of disabled children have been talking about for a decade and a half. With the launch of the capital investment program, the construction of new building began. Works are carried out from scratch. Last year they spent 5.5 million rubles, in the current year almost the same amount was allocated. A box with a transition was constructed, windows and doors were installed, roof was made, engineering networks were connected, heating and water supply were connected. The building is equipped with an elevator. At the moment, finishing, ventilation and electrical work are underway. The President drew attention to the bright color of the facade, wondered whose choice it was. The President was told that all decisions are discussed with the team, drawing attention to the fact that most of the parents work in the institution. To date, the school number 2 is attended by 57 children, 8 of which are pre-school children. Five guys this year are graduates. The new building is designed for more children - up to 70 children. The possibility of receiving education in a specialized institution for children with health characteristics is extremely important, they said today during working meeting. Here comfortable conditions will be created for the organization of the educational process, sports and creative activities, as well as the acquisition of applied skills. There are sleeping rooms. The food block is planned to be placed in the old building. Its reconstruction, as well as the purchase of kitchen equipment and the improvement of the adjacent territory is a question for the next year. According to preliminary calculations, in 2020 it will take 2.5 million rubles to implement the plan. As for the new building, it will open the doors for pupils by the coming school year.
The President instructed the city authorities and the relevant department of the Ministry of Economic Development to provide the necessary assistance to ensure that the plans were implemented in a timely manner. “Children should come on September 1 to new building, cozy and comfortable classes”, Vadim Krasnoselsky set the task. He emphasized that, in addition to the educational component, due attention should be paid to the development of sports and creative talents in children, as well as their preparation for their future working life. “People with special needs are often very talented, they have great potential. But you have to see it, help develop it, implement it. Then a person will be comfortable in society, he will benefit the republic and work for his benefit. The biggest problem for the disabled is job placement. If a person is not employed, he receives a minimum social pension. People with disabilities tend to get a job, earn living, future retirement pension. We must give them that opportunity. Those who can work - work. It is necessary to help, create conditions, teach these people. Thus, we will save them from all sorts of troubles and new difficulties in life, which they already have enough due to their physical condition”, Vadim Krasnoselsky is sure. He emphasized that the work started in the Republic in the Year of Equal Opportunities to improve the social infrastructure for people with disabilities will continue.
