Tiraspol, June, 13. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Next week, two memorable dates will be celebrated in the republic: the Day of the Bendery tragedy (June 19) and the Day of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War (June 22). Events dedicated to it will traditionally be held throughout the republic. This, in particular, rallies and laying flowers to the graves of the dead defenders of the Motherland.
On June 19, on the Day of the Bendery tragedy, at 7 am a meeting will be held at the Memorial of Glory in Tiraspol. After that, for those who wish, they will organize a trolley bus for a trip to Bendery where the main events will take place.
At 4:45 pm, a city-wide moment of silence will be announced. At this time, the headquarters of the Civil Protection of the city will turn on for one minute all the city and departmental sirens in memory of all those killed in the tragedy.
On June 20 at 10 am, a memorial plaque will be opened on the building of the capital’s railway station in gratitude to the Ukrainian people, who received all the refugees who left Bendery and Tiraspol during the Bendery tragedy.
June 22 at 4 pm there will begin the action Candle of Memory and the laying on of flowers at the Moscow Memorial of Glory. On this day, two trolley buses will be allocated for the participants of the action: at 3:20 from the Ternopol bus-stop and from the Per. Zapadniy at 3:30 pm.
On June 19 and 22, services will be held in all the temples of Tiraspol for those who died during the days of the Bendery tragedy and during the Great Patriotic War.
