Tiraspol, June 4. / Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The big Moscow regatta passed from May 31 to June 2 on rowing channel «Krylatskoye». Teams from 10 countries participated in the competitions: Azerbaijan, Germany, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Moldova, Slovakia, Sweden, Estonia and Russia.
Evgeny Goryachkovsky took the II place. Evgeny Obodovsky appeared on the V place. Athletes are a part of the Moscow national team.
Nikita Kachkin and Dmitry Zinchenko stopped in a step from a pedestal. Last year they were winners of the Big Moscow Regatta in the youthful group, this time competed among men and finished the fourth. They had conceded to the bronze prize-winners only a second.
Also together with teammates Vlad Gorokhovsky and Nikolay Zinchenko they participated in the experimental crew in fourth and took the IV place.
The regatta was carried out for the 58th time. As well as last year, the winners were defined among the Russian Federation college teams. In the program of competitions there were youth groups up to 23 years, veterans, para-rowers. Besides, the big sports festival for children and adults including training on rowing exercise machines for all comers and prizes drawing was organized.
On June 14-16 the Pridnestrovian rowers will take part in the international regatta in Slovenia. Nikita Kachkin and Dmitry Zinchenko will also compete at the youth World Cup at the end of July in the USA.
