Tiraspol, May 28. / Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The public hearings concerning the improvement of Tiraspol took place in the House of Soviets. As the head of the State Administration Oleg Dovgopol noted though Tiraspol long since was considered to be a green city, there were the shortage of park zones.
"Attractions, games platforms, sculptures, paths – all this are really necessary, but the basis of parks is made by trees, bushes, flowers, lawns. Vegetation demands care, trees can not grow in a few years; therefore the formation of the full-fledged Park always is a matter of time. It is necessary to understand it and to move in this direction persistently and patiently", - Oleg Dovgopol emphasized.
As it is reported on the website of the state administration, during a discussion with the municipal government architecture and town planning specialist, deputies, representatives of public organizations, media and citizens the approximate improvement plan for the next three years was developed. It is open for discussions and offers.
There will be large-scale transformations in the centre of the city, where the creation of Ekatherinian Park has already begun.
"Need for updating of our centre has ripened long ago. Tiraspol is the capital, the hallmark of Pridnestrovie, and its appearance has to correspond to its status", – the head of the city is convinced. Practically all expenses are undertaken from the Investments Fund and private sponsors.
In future, the Ekatherinian Park will stretch out all the Suvorov Square – from the "Greenmarket" to the Dniester Promenade, from Tiraspol cinema to the building of the gymnasium. Big changes will happen to space behind the Suvorov monument. Waste grounds will be replaced by accurate lawns, groups of wood and shrubby vegetation and beds with the good irrigating system.
On both sides of the central Alley, there will be chains of small fountains.
Around the Youth Creativity Craft Center, it will appear the largest in Tiraspol playground with modern attractions. Part of them will be intended for handicapped citizens.
The fountain near the Tiraspol Cinema which is under construction now will become a real pearl of the future Ekatherinian Park.
Oleg Dovgopol noted that all the Ekatherinian Park will be with updated lighting system and walking paths. The entrance to the De Volan's Square from the Promenade will be decorated by a monumental arch. And it is not a full list of future changes – there will be plenty of pleasant surprises for the citizens.
Oleg Dovgopol also told about the work on the creation of new squares in different districts of the city. So, the "Southern" square located in the district of compact accommodation of people with disabilities will be focused on rest and leisure of handicapped citizens.
The "Solar" square, located near the "Tridtsaty" Shopping Center is one more important project. In several years trolley-bus traffic will appear there.
Gradually "Western" (on the entrance from Bendery) and "Light" (around the Kolkotovy market) squares are developed. Updating will concern also the Pobeda Park, Gagarin Boulevard and the Square of Aviators.
