RCC INTENDS TO CONTEST THE DECISION ON UKRAINIAN CEMENT IMPORT FEES

Up to 20% of RCC export supplies go to the Ukrainian market

Tiraspol, May, 25. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Rybnitsa Cement Combine (RCC) intends to contest the decision of Ukraine to introduce import duties on cement. Recall, on May 21, the Ukrainian Interdepartmental Commission on International Trade introduced anti-dumping duties on cement imports from Russia, Belarus and Moldova for five years. The duty may be 94.46% for RCC products.

RCC has just started to enter the Ukrainian market, the share of sales to it is about 20% of export deliveries. There are other buyers, but Ukraine is a promising market, and therefore the company intends to fight for it.

“In these grounds there are a lot of controversial issues for the commission’s decision, so RCC will prepare to contest this decision. There is the potential for the contest, and we are going to fight for it,” the Minister of Economic Development Sergey Obolonik said.
