ATHLETE FROM TIRASPOL LILIA FISKOVICH WON HALF-MARATHON IN CZECH REPUBLIC

She covered a distance of 21 km 97 m in 1 hour 12 minutes 34 seconds

Tiraspol, May, 19. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Pridnestrovian athlete Lilia Fiskovich became the winner of the half marathon in Karlovy Vary (Czech Republic). 

Mattoni Karlovy Vary Half Marathon has been being held annually since 2013 and gathers top athletes from around the world. According to the system for evaluating road race competitions of the International Association of Athletics Federations, the semi-marathon is assigned the gold status - IAAF Gold Label. The route was laid through the center of Karlovy Vary and along the Ohře river. 

This year about 3 thousand athletes of different ages took part in the competition, including 889 women. Among them there was Lilia Fiskovich from Tiraspol. In the strongest group up to 35 years, 150 people ran together with her. 

The Pridnestrovian runner hit a distance of 21 km 97 m in 1 hour 12 minutes 34 seconds and took the first place. The second and third places were taken by Ukrainian athletes. 

Earlier this year, the athlete from Tiraspol was selected for the Olympic Games - 2020, which will be held in Tokyo. Lilia Fiskovich is a master of sports of international class in athletics. She represented Moldova at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
