Kamenka, April 23. / Novosti Pridnestrovya/. During the visit to the Kamenka district, the government delegation also visited the Kamenka Cannery. Let's remind, the enterprise for many years had problems with the sale, increasing debts. Now it is under the authority of the State Management Company. As the director of the Kamenka Cannery Ruslan Spatar told, in the last two years the enterprise almost completely reoriented sales market – generally on internal. It increased the outputs and the product range.
At the moment the enterprise has no current (not historical) debts, it paid off both salaries and tax payments in republican and local budgets.
Plans for this year are to make 35% more products in comparison with last year. But weather changes plans a little: because of cold weather the harvest of the stone trees will be poorer. But it is expected a good harvest of apples.
«Earlier the purpose of the plant was to produce the amount of product, not to sell it. So there were very negative consequences when the enterprise took money in the bank, turned them into an illiquid finished product. It led to financial trouble. Now the process has changed: production directly depends on sales. And I want to note that the outputs at the same time did not fall, but on the contrary increased», – Prime Minister Alexander Martynov noted.
Also, the plant plans to expand the product range on fruit and vegetable juice. And semi-finished products in the form of the concentrated juice and fruit purees (they are most demanded in foreign markets) to spill in 200-litre barrels, but not a 25-ton container as earlier. New packing will appear also at retail products – instead of 3-litre large glass bottles convenient small packings tetra paks and PET-bottles. Its production will also appear at the plant. There is an arrangement with the supplier of the equipment and the place for it is defined.
In parallel with all these processes at the plant, there is an assessment of assets of the enterprise together with the Russian auditor company. Let's remind, the Kamenka cannery is included in the program of privatization. Meanwhile, as the Head of the Government noted, «the approach this question will be delicate».
«We have two potential investors who are ready to invest money in the Kamenka Cannery but it should be a delicate approach to all the process connected with privatization. The plant works today, and without external investors, there are plans for development. But if there is an investor by whose estimates it will be possible to increase the outputs many times, to make additional resources in the plant, we will consider a question of privatization», – Alexander Martynov told.
