Tiraspol, April, 18. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Government discussed the possibility of renewing Tiraspol and Bendery Trolleybus Boards` vehicle fleet. In general, enterprises need at least 50 rolling stock units.
One of the re-equipment options is to purchase trolleybuses under a leasing scheme. The press service of the Government reports that that has been announced by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economic Development, Sergey Obolonik.
According to him, the Belarusian company Promagrolising OJSC, which specializes in such transactions and is interested in exporting its products, is ready to provide support to the republic. Now the parties are negotiating the terms of the agreement (the amount of payments, the provision of mutual guarantees, terms). Belarusian MAZ vehicles are considered for the acquisition.
Tiraspol Trolleybus Board is counting on the appearance of vehicles with autonomous mode in its fleet. The capital leader Oleg Dovgopol noted that the presence of electric buses on routes would make it possible to get such directions as the Blizhniy Khutor, Sukleia, Ternovka on a loop.
In general, new cars should contribute to reducing energy consumption and the cost of repairing old trolleybuses. The meeting participants are sure that it would be convenient for people with limited mobility, that would increase passenger traffic in the future and, accordingly, revenues of Tiraspol and Bendery Trolleybus Boards.
“If we do it all at once, the effect, I suppose, will be really amazing. The convenience of movement will also improve. Moreover, in Bendery, we are finishing work on repairing roads that are intended for public transport, that is, trolley buses can move comfortably there,” Roman Ivanchenko, head of the Bendery State Administration said.
As noted by Alexander Martynov, it will be necessary to allocate approximately 40 million rubles for five years to replace the fleet by means of leasing, repair of contact networks, traction substations and other works. According to the Prime Minister, these events will provide an opportunity to exclude worn-out trolleybuses from passage.
At the same time, the Government regulation is being drafted, in which a paragraph will be recorded on the annual increase in the salaries of workers of trolleybus departments by 15% (during the validity period of the program for the development of Tiraspol and Bendery Trolleybus Boards, that is, until 2021). Sergey Obolonik reminded that that measure had already started to be implemented from that year.
Following the discussion, Alexander Martynov gave a number of instructions on leasing and making additional calculations to the relevant department.
It should be noted that in the Pridnestrovian Development Strategy, the modernization of municipal electric vehicles is one of the priority positions until 2026.
