Tiraspol, April, 9. / Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Since May 1 in Pridnestrovie control of the presence of pat owners of the vehicles registered in foreign states will begin to be exercised, it is told in the press release of the PRB.
Authorized employees of the MGB will check the existence of the third-party only vehicle insurance policies in checkpoints through the PMR frontier. If the insurance is absent, the car will not pass through the border before the conclusion of a relevant contract.
In the territory of the Republic employees of Ministry of Internal Affairs will control the fulfilment of duties of car owners. The lack of the corresponding insurance policy is the basis for administrative prosecution.
Let's remind that the corresponding amendments to the law «About Obligatory Insurance of Civil Liability of Owners of Vehicles» were adopted by the Supreme Council on March 27 and are signed by the president on March 29.
According to the document, the civil liability of owners of the vehicles registered in the foreign states driving and (or) moving across the territory of the PMR has to be insured and be confirmed by either the third-party only vehicle insurance policies of the PMR, or the third-party only vehicle insurance policies of the Republic of Moldova, or the insurance policy «Green card» with Pridnestrovie included in the territory of an insurance covering.
At the same time for the residents of the RM the special mode of mutual recognition of the third-party only vehicle insurance policies according to the Legal decision «About the mechanism of cooperation of subjects of insurance of the RM and Pridnestrovie under contracts of the third-party only vehicle insurance policies» of April 10, 2015 and the frame mechanism of cooperation of insurance subjects is provided.
As it was emphasized in the recent comment of the MFA PMR, a duty to acquire the third-party only vehicle insurance policies of the PMR does not extend to owners of the vehicles registered in the Republic of Moldova whose responsibility is as appropriate insured by the RM insurance companies.
Operation of the law does not extend also to the owners of vehicles, registered abroad, having the valid international insurance policy «Green card» with the territory of a covering including the PMR.
«The Pridnestrovian side honestly fulfils own obligations ordered by the specified arrangements and counts on prevention of violations from profile structures of the Republic of Moldova», - it is said also in the comment of the Pridnestrovian Foreign Ministry.
