Bendery, April, 4. / Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Moldavian prisons in Bendery are a factor of constant tension. The Cochairman of the JCC from Pridnestrovie Oleg Belyakov said in an interview to the Novosti Pridnestrovya news Agency.
Let's remind, last Tuesday the employee of the Moldavian prison became the hero of a scandal. The sergeant of justice of the RM, being drunk, caused a row in one of Bendery houses.
Oleg Belyakov paid attention that it is not the first case, having noted that these structures are in the area with the raised safety mode illegally.
«From reports of JMC and military observers, we know that in the territory of these prisons weapon is stored. It is contrary to existing documents», - the Cochairman emphasized.
According to him, the functioning of these prisons goes to a violation of basic human rights.
«How human rights can be observed if convicts are carried to serve sentence in a zone of the smouldering armed conflict? » - the Cochairman asks a question.
Oleg Belyakov emphasized that serious risks in this regard exist also for ordinary citizens.
«It is nonsense when the tubercular prison is directly in the city. There is no such practice anywhere. Therefore we are forced to build tubercular policlinics and hospitals because ordinary people became ill. The Moldavian colleagues say to us that these prisons not tubercular, but how it can be? It seems walls are soaked with this infection there, and it is a real danger to the residents of Bendery», - the Cochairman summarized.
He focused attention that the matter needs to be resolved only at a negotiating table.
