Tiraspol, March, 25. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Today the Civil Service on Sport summed up the work results for 2018. The Head of the state Vadim Krasnoselsky took part in the expanded board.
As the Head of the department Vyacheslav Sokolenko noted in the report, in 2018 at the international level professional athletes achieved serious progress, having won in various competitions 129 medals, from them 45 – the highest test. For comparison, a year ago in a moneybox of our athletes, there were 81 awards.
Among the achievements of the last year, most significant for the republic are a gold medal on the III Youth Olympic Games in Argentina which was conquered by the world-class master of sports Tatyana Salkutsan in swimming on a back and also Kirill Shamshurin and Vladislav Chebotar's medal for the second and third places in the international rowing championships on kayaks and a canoe. According to the Chief of the Department, last year the Pridnestrovian fighters and para-athletes achieved serious progress.
Speaking about the development of the mass sport, Vyacheslav Sokolenko emphasized that last year in the institutions of additional education of sports orientation 11,528 children were engaged. 569 trainers-teachers helped them to take the first steps in the world of sport, 386 of them with higher and secondary profile professional education.
In 2018 the civil service held 62 sporting events of republican value.
The Head of the Department concerned the material equipment of the industry. According to him, this sphere is financed for 95% of a requirement today, more than half of means go for payment of the salaries for trainers and teachers.
Within the Capital Investments Program 2018, 5 sporting venues are repaired. Works were performed for the sum of 3.2 million rubles.
Last year the school of the Olympic reserve which will allow pupils to play elite sport and to get professional education was founded.
«Today the level of the Pridnestrovian sport is lifted to a high level. And we will use the best efforts in order to support it», – Vyacheslav Sokolenko summarized.
According to the President, public authorities are faced by an important task of formation in the society of the positive relation to sport and healthy lifestyle.
«The Civil Service on Sport plays a significant role in it. It is necessary to create a steady model and structure of the development of the sport. The most important purpose of this systematization is in involved in sports of all citizens of the PMR, all society to make sport mass and, the main thing, available. The sport forms the healthy nation, healthy society», - the President emphasized.
He noted that without the development of mass sport also the elite sport is impossible.
«In Pridnestrovie, there are a lot of talented people, and we reach big heights on the international scene. Of course, we act under the Russian flag, under flags of other states so far. But it is our achievements, achievements of our children, and time, when these children act under the flag of the PMR, will come», - the Head of the state added.
Vadim Krasnoselsky urged trainers to give chance to everyone to play professional sports, even those who do not possess necessary physical data. It gave examples when the children who are not showing first serious results achieved big heights in sport subsequently.
«The sport forms the personality, the will to win. Actually, those people who realized themselves in sport are ready to live, the interests are ready to fight, advocate», - the Head of the State told.
According to the President, in the cities and the regions of Pridnestrovie including the basis of educational institutions, it is necessary to open the sports centres, access to which has to be free. Also, the Head of the state charged to the management of the department to provide a possibility of professional development of trainers and teachers.
Activities of Civil Service on Sport in 2018 were recognized as satisfactory.
