Tiraspol, March, 21. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The fixed and mobile telephone communication and also the telegraph in Pridnestrovie are gradually forced out by new ways of communication. Such a conclusion can be drawn from the report of the Acting Chief of the Civil Service of Communication Vladimir Belyaev. On the meeting of the board of department summed up the work results of the past year.
According to Vladimir Belyaev, from the 2016th the number of subscribers of the fixed telephone communication dropped approximately by 4%. If earlier wire telephones were installed at more than 188 thousand subscribers, then by the end of 2017 of subscribers there were less than 185 thousand, follows from the report published on the website of the Civil Service. Decrease continued also for 2018.
The number of subscribers of mobile communication, on the contrary, grew up. In the 2016th the mobile cellular communication subscribers were 328 thousand, by the end of the 2018th, the number increased by 2.3%. «Level of penetration of mobile network was 71%. It means that it is the share of each one hundred residents of our state about 71 mobile terminals», – the Head of the Civil Service noted.
However, the growth of a number of subscribers does not mean an increase in profitability yet. The sales volume of mobile services in two years dropped approximately by 10%, follows from Vladimir Belyaev's report. And the main decrease was necessary for 2017, and in the 2018th this process significantly slowed down.
The average monthly income of operators of fixed telephony on one subscriber in comparison with 2016 also sank. The decrease was nearly 12%.
«Decline in income came from services of providing the fixed telephone communication, provision of services of mobile communication, providing cable communication. Growth in incomes is noted from the provision of services of data transmission, television and broadcastings», – Vladimir Belyaev noted.
Nevertheless, in the general revenue breakdown of telecom operators over 31.3% are still brought by mobile communication. Only 30.8% of the total amount of income is the share of services in data transmission.
