ATHLETE FROM BENDERY ARTEM DELYANU WON BRONZE MEDAL OF EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP IN WRESTLING

The wrestler competed in the weight category up to 55 kg

Tiraspol, March, 6. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Trainee of the Pridnestrovian fighting sports school named after G.N. Badanova Artem Delyanu took the third place in Greco-Roman wrestling competitions. The tournament was held as part of the European Wrestling Championship for athletes aged U-23 in the Serbian city of Novi Sad.

Artem Delyanu competed in the weight category of up to 55 kg. In total, 14 athletes were named on this weight. Athlete from Bendery, according to the competition draw, began his tournament road from the qualification stage.

In the first fight he was confronted by the Romanian athlete Florin Tita. In a hard-fought struggle, the representative of Romania was stronger. And due to the fact that he reached the final battle, Artem Delyanu received the right to participate in the tournament for the bronze medal. Then Artem Delyanu outbattled wrestlers from Serbia and Hungary.

The coach Andrei Vyalshin had been training the athlete for the championship, according to the website of the State Service for Sports of the PMR.
