Kamenka district, January, 16. / Novosti Pridnestrovya/. In the neighbourhood of the village Podoyma of the Kamenka district the staff of the local Pridnestrovian Department of Internal Affairs and Regional Council of Veterans is engaged in the organization and carrying out restoration works of the pillbox (permanent fire position), reports Radio 1.
By May 9 it is planned to complete the works of the first stage of restoration: to clean the mine and all rooms from garbage, to deepen the pillbox to design level, build a concrete tower of a fighting casemate, to establish a ladder, a protection and gate and also a commemorative plaque and information stands.
The second stage will be completed to the 75th Anniversary of the Victory. By this time, in particular, will be building a tower of an artillery fortification construction with two loopholes, electrify machine-gun and artillery pillboxes, will be repaired a well.
The third stage provides connection of all elements in a uniform cultural and historical complex. Its ceremonial opening is planned for May 2021.
Let's note that found a little more than a year ago the pillbox was a part of defensive «Stalin's Line».
