Tiraspol, December, 28. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Eight Italian cities and eight concerts - this is the result of a concert tour of the Pridnestrovian state dance and folk music ensemble Viorica.
The Italian organization Renaissance invited our dancers to the Baltic countries festival of creative collectives. The event is timed to the Christmas holidays. Its characteristic feature was absence of any competitive principle - just creativity.
Viorica`s art director and conductor, Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic National Artist Alexander Galatsan said that from December 15 to 22 there were only Pridnestrovian artists performed. “Before us, musicians from Georgia, Caucasus, Krasnoyarsk, as well as some European countries demonstrated their skills” - he said, noting that there were full audience at the concerts.
Viorica gave solo performances, each of which consisted of two branches. Pridnestrovian artists won experienced Italians hearts with their versatility, demonstrating Russian, Ukrainian, Moldavian, Bulgarian and Gypsy dances.
They didn’t let the dancers off the stage for a long time, shouting cherished by each artist “bravo” and “encore”.
Daria Staneva admitted that that was her first trip on the road. It is her second year in ensemble. “I am proud that we managed to represent the team fairly, taking into account that the concerts were literally every day. Plus 1.5 days on the road. But still we got together and showed everyone that we are professionals” - the dancer said.
Alexander Cherniy, who has a little more experience at Viorica and is only 14,5 years old, says that the ensemble was always well met abroad, whether it France, Switzerland, Lithuania, Russia and other countries.
