The guests of the holiday were the President of PMR Vadim Krasnoselski, representatives of state authorities and administration and Pridnestrovian football players.
It is symbolic that this event was held in conjunction with the International Football Day, which is celebrated on December 10.
On the stage, there were both beginning athletes and experienced football veterans. Well-deserved awards were given to winners and prize-winners of Pridnestrovian Football Championship and teams that showed the best results in the mini-football league. "Interdnestrcom" teams (mini-football league "A"), "Junior" (Pridnestrovie Football Championship) and "Sokol" (veterans) were on the football Olympus. Prestigious trophies were given by the head of state Vadim Krasnoselski to the best in their class.
“It is encouraging that a healthy generation is growing in Pridnestrovie. More and more young people today prefer not to use drugs and alcohol, but to lead a healthy sports lifestyle, to take an active civil position. Without healthy people, one cannot imagine a healthy and free state - Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic” - the President said.
In addition to the team records, personal records were also evaluated. Today there were identified the names of the best goalkeeper, defender, midfielder and striker, as well as the best coach and referee in 2018.
Sponsors of sports tournaments and volunteers of the football movement did not escape the attention. As noted the Chairman of the Football Federation Pavel Prokudin, in recent years, the state had paid increased attention to the development of mass sports and healthy lifestyle.
“This year, after many years of inactivity, there was opened Dynamo stadium in Bendery. Reconstruction of the stadium began in Tiraspol, and construction of a mini-football stadium is nearing completion. We cannot help but be encouraged with this. The Football Federation took the first steps to revive the mass sport” - Pavel Prokudin stated.
