"In Dubossary, there lived the hermit of the holy Russian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Gabriel Benulesku-Bodoni, and Archpriest Mikhail Strelbitsky - the founder of the Dubossary printing house. This is the town where the famous Russian surgeon Nikolai Sklifosovsky was born. Century old traditions and historical memory continue unabated” - Vadim Krasnoselski noted.
According to the state head, the city of military glory is the epitome of valour and heroism of its famous sons who stood up for the fatherland defense in 1992.
“Dubossary lives and develops, carefully preserving their originality and becoming more beautiful year by year. This is a city of remarkable people: power engineers and seamstresses, winemakers and agro-industrial complex workers, teachers and doctors.
