Tiraspol, October, 26. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Pridnestrovian youth parliament will have special representatives in the Youth Parliament at the Russian Federation State Duma. Today during the meeting of the Supreme Council youth wing the candidatures of young parliamentarians Igor Markelov and Leonid Shaidurov were endorsed. The networking with Russia among young people goes on. Ekaterina Kulianitsa, advisor to the Chairman of the Supreme Council, represented Pridnestrovie at the First International Congress of Young Parliamentarians, which took place in Moscow in the middle of October. As the speaker’s advisor emphasized, on this site Pridnestrovie was announced officially.
Delegates from 32 countries of the world attended the congress. The forum opening was held in the Russian Parliament. Recommendations to young parliamentarians were made by venerable politicians: Vladimir Zhirinovsky, Leonid Slutsky, Mikhail Degtyarev, Alena Arshinova.
The young parliamentarians managed to attend the State Duma plenary session at a time when its speaker, Vyacheslav Volodin, spoke at the podium.
“A positive result is that at least 57 people - congress participants - asked what Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic is and where it is located. They are the future political elite and they already know about Pridnestrovie” - Ekaterina Kulianitsa thinks.
Young deputies Daria Korsakova and Alena Otsroukhova became participants in another equally important Russian-Moldavian youth forum, whose panel sessions were held in Moscow, Tula, Kursk and Orel.
“The topics of youth participation in the development of tourism, patriotic actions and volunteer activities were of interest to us. We took over the experience and exchanged contacts with other participants” - Daria Korsakova reported.
Increasing of the international cooperation level and strengthening ties with young parliamentarians from other countries inspired members of the youth parliament to form their own working body - the Commission on International Affairs and Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, Alexander Savich directed the young deputies to productive work, noting that the agenda for the coming months is expected to be rich.
“In our work there is a large practical component. We conduct various trainings, lectures and seminars; implement a non-formal education project for young people. Together with the Central Election Commission we will organize business games for schoolchildren. We plan to conduct outdoor events in towns and districts of the republic” - Alexander Savich told.
Young parliamentarians also participate in socially beneficial projects preparation, the competition of which will take place in Tiraspol. Young parliamentarians are also promoting their ideas at the site of the RF Federal Agency "Rosmolodezh" (Federal Agency for Youth Affairs). It is an opportunity to attract well-known Russian public figures to our republic in order to exchange experience.
