Tiraspol, 12 September. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The head of Tiraspol Oleg Dovgopol has informed the President of Catherine Park construction plans in the central part of the capital. The head of state has given such assignment to city administration on August 16 during the expanded meeting devoted to questions of settlements’ improvement, the presidential press service reminds.
According to Oleg Dovgopol, the plan of park improvement is developed today. De Volan's Park and A.V. Suvorov Square will become its part.
The capital head has reported that diversified recreation areas for various age categories of citizens will be created in park soon. It is planned to place scenic, children's and sports grounds, fountains, grottoes, and cafe. All infrastructure has to be executed in uniform style. In its basis – preservation of history. Oleg Dovgopol has told that it is planned to establish a monument to Catherine II in the central part of de Volan Park, which will be visible from any point of the park.
Vadim Krasnoselsky considers symbolical the fact that future park will bear a name of the Russian empress who has signed the foundation decree of Tiraspol. The president has noted scale of the forthcoming work. Today in the downtown there is no modern&comfortable infrastructure for rest of citizens and city visitors.
The head of state has thanked the management of the state administration for efficiency in preparation of the project.
"It is important that developers have captured an essense of future park. The large volume of works is ahead, which performance will take several years. It is sure that on the course of implementation of the project you will find many supporters", – the President has noted, having added that the leaders of the republic are ready to give to the city full support.
