The nominal average wages has grown by 9.3% republic-wide within five months of 2018. However, they have reduced by 4.8% in real terms compared with the same period of last year. Such statistics are provided by the Economic Development Ministry in the overview "Social and Economic Development of the PMR in January-May, 2018".
The wages have grown in the private sector predominantly. Analysts say that the reason of it is improvement of macroeconomic progress of 2017 and the beginning of 2018.
Salary level in the industrial and tourism sectors and the sphere of has considerably increased. At the same time, such branches as communication, banks and crediting and insurance top the list of the highest-salaried.
Wages have grown by an average 11.3% (up to 5 394 rubles) in private sector. However, after allowing for inflation they have been reduced by 3%.
In the public sector, the salaries have grown by 3.9% (up to 2 792 rubles or 66.7% of an average republic-wide level). But it has reduced by 9.5% in real terms.
