Tiraspol, 9 May. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. President Krasnoselsky congratulated war veterans on the 73rd anniversary of the victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War.
The official congratulation says that the Great Victory was the event which was so much longed for by soldiers, officers, generals and marshals who fought at the front; by partisanss in snow-covered forests; by women, old men and teenagers who were operating machines shift after shift.
"The Victory came along with jubilant May, with the scent of lilac, with a clear and peaceful sky. The victory was indeed one for all, and to gain it the Soviet people paid a cost of 27 million lives. The Soviet soldier brought peace to the countries of Europe, liberating them from the fascist misanthropic plague. The feat of the people cannot be measured in words; it does not tarnish over time," the statement emphasises.
The presidentunderscores that the Pridnestrovian people is aware of its responsibility for today.
«Dear veterans of the Great Patriotic War, combatantns and workers of labour fronts! We owe you a debt of gratitude that can never be repaid. We owe you a low bow and eternal gratitude for your exemplary courage, for heroism and resilience. With all my heart I wish you and all Pridnestrovians good health, high spirits, peace and prosperity! My congratulations on Victory Day!" says the president's congratulation.
