Tiraspol, 3 May. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. A group of tourists from Germany visited the capital of the country. The young people got acquainted with the main sights of Tiraspol. Novosti Pridnestrovya has found out what struck the guests of our country most of all.
The two of them - Francesca and Daniela - kindly agreed to give a short interview. The girls travel a lot, but it is their first time in Pridnestrovie.
"A few years ago I read about Pridnestrovie in an Austrian newspaper, and I thought it was a very interesting place to visit," Daniela noted with a smile.
The girl has already forgotten the name of "this very" newspaper, but the main thing that remains in memory is the amazing history of the fertile land. And the general atmosphere in Pridnestrovie has something in common with that of Cuba, the tourist admits.
"This is chiefly an intuitive feeling, mood and impression, and of course, the similarity manifests itself through Soviet cars going along the streets, which can hardly be seen in Europe," the girl explained.
But Francesca was most impressed by the tank, located in the heart of the capital. The travellers did not remain indifferent to a Lenin monument, which is located next to the building of the Supreme Council and the Government. It is noteworthy that the Tiraspol monument is the "younger brother" of a 19-meter statue made of pink granite in Berlin.
Reminiscence of the homeland overtook the German guests on the banks of the Dniester. Here Francesca became nostalgic about the town in which she spent the first years of her life. The atmosphere of the seaside Stralsund, according to the tourist, is very similar to the one that reigns in the country.
At the same time, travellers and their companions did not have enough time to see all the sights of Pridnestrovie. The girls admit they would like to spend a few more evenings here, walking along the quiet streets of cities and villages.
For Francesca, our region is of special interest: she has recently begun to learn Russian, and now she dreams of talking to Pridnestrovians in one of the country’s official. And Daniela has promised to support her friend and by all means to visit Pridnestrovie again. And we are looking forward to travellers in our land which reminds many countries but does not resemble any place on the Earth.
