Tiraspol, 17 April. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The capital's state administration discussed preparations for the Victory Day celebrations.
As the press service informs, the festivities will begin on 3 May and will last almost until the end of the month. Meetings of veterans with schoolchildren will be held at schools. The traditional Zemlyanka (Dugout) meeting of war veterans is scheduled for 7 May, and a festive concert will be held in the Palace of the Republic on 8 May.
"A mass rally, flower-laying and flag-raising ceremonies at the Glory Memorial, a parade, as well as an Immortal Regiment march are scheduled for 9 May," said Maria Pashchenko, deputy head of the state administration for social development.
Festive concerts dedicated to the 73rd anniversary of the Victory Day will be held in all residential areas of the city. In memory of those killed in the Great Patriotic War, the nationwide Memory Minute will be announced at 6 pm.
A festive concert, "The Salute of Victory in Our Songs and Hearts", will start in the centre of Tiraspol in the evening. By tradition, the concert program will culminate in a holiday salute.
