Sergey Uskov becomes prize winner at prestigious international taekwondo tournament

He had four bouts, losing in the finals to an Egyptian

Tiraspol, February 26. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Pridnestrovian fighter Sergey Uskov won another award at an international tournament. The competition Egypt Open 2018 was held in Alexandria, the State Sports Agency's website reports.  

In the 58 kg category, in which there 22 fighters besides Sergey, he was to hold four bouts.

In the first fight, he defeated by a landslide Turkey's Tolga Islamoglu - 21:13. Сергей вполне уверенно превзошёл его с результатом 21:13.!!!!!

In the quarterfinals, he fought with Jordan's Roslan Lbzo. Sergey managed to overcome his counterpart 24:19 due to a more active and aggressive manner of fighting.

There remained only one competitor on the way to the finals - Portugal's Rui Bragança. The Pridnestrovian won a brilliant victory, completely suppressing his opponent - 13:2.

In the finals, he faced Egypt's Mohamed Farag. The fight turned out to be fierce and persistent: the contenders of nearly the same level fought heatedly, keeping the audience in suspense until the very last second. As a result, the Egyptian athlete was slightly more successful and snatched the victory with a score of 19:17.

Nevertheless, Sergey Uskov's performance in Egypt was quite successful. It's already the second ranking tournament at which the Pridnestrovian fighter has become a prize-winner.
