Tiraspol, October 31. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The head of state held an extended session on activity of non-governmental non-profit organizations in Pridnestrovie. According to the official information, about 3 thousand non-governmental non-profit organizations work in Pridnestrovie. Their activity isn't regulated by a separate law today. Legal regulation of activity of non-governmental non-profit organizations by a separate law was discussed by the participants of the extended session which took place on the platform of Pridnestrovie's Presidential Administration.
Representatives of the Government, the Supreme Council, of some ministries and departments, public organizations took part in the discussion of this topical issue.
Vadim Krasnoselsky expressed opinion that it is impossible to besiege a state with a barbed wire in modern conditions. "Different events occur and new trends appear in Pridnestrovie and beyond. Historically, our republic is on the crossing of two vectors – the East and the West. We can become a platform where two of these worlds will come together," the president told. He reminded that Pridnestrovie looked to the Russian Federation traditionally and supports preservation of the existing peacekeeping format consistently.
According to Vadim Krasnoselsky, there are organizations activity of which is aimed at the development of cooperation between the states in different areas, and it is found to conform to the Pridnestrovie's legislation and the Constitution. Criteria and requirements to the work of such organizations have to be accurately set in the law, and only if they are violated, the corresponding punishments will be imposed on the NPO, the Presidential Press Office reports.
Following the results of the discussion, the president ordered to create a working group to analyze the current Pridnestrovie's legislation and to elaborate an appropriate mechanism for state regulation of non-governmental non-profit organizations activity within the territory of the republic.
