Tiraspol, 26 October. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Germany's Mainz was the host of a major international acrobatic gymnastics tournament, held from 15 to 20 October 2017. Gymnasts from nine countries took part in the competition. Among them were trainees of the Tiraspol Specialised School of Gymnastics and Acrobatics.
The mixed pair of Arina Bigataya and Gennady Izmaylov won gold in the 12-18 age group, the State Agency for Sports reports. Golden medals were also gained by Vadim Bondarenko and Vadim Stoyanov in the age category of 7-11 years.
Two more pairs from Tiraspol became silver medalists in the age group of 11-16 years – the mixed pair of Ninel Mikulina and Daniil Dolta and the male pair of Alexander Tkach and Alexander Finozhenkov.
Another mixed pair of Maria Viskushenko and Dmitry Strekalovsky became runner-up, winning silver in the 8-12 age group.
The Pridnestrovian gymnasts were trained by Irina Belous and Natalya Tupikova.
