Tiraspol, 23 October. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. President Vadim Krasnoselsky gave an interview to Russia's TV Centre. According to a journalist, there are claims in Moldova "about the unity of people living on the Dniester banks." She asked what Vadim Krasnoselsky thought about it.

The president answered: "First, people of a single nation do not kill each other. The tragedy we had in 1992 proves my words.

The president underscored that Moldova had not given a legal assessment of those events.

"If we were a single nation, it would have been necessary to initiate a criminal case to give a legal assessment and identify those accountable for the murder of their own compatriots. If this hasn't been done so far, what kind of single nation we are? Seems contradictory, doesn't it?" he said.

"And thirdly: the Moldovan president always speaks about the Moldovan nation, but we don't have titular nations in Pridnestrovie. We are multiethnic society. People of 32 nationalities live here. We are not divided by nation, colour or denomination," explained Krasnoselsky.

The president also recalled that Moldova had not solved a single issue in favour of Pridnestrovie but rather had unilaterally deployed border posts, which was approved by the entire Moldovan leadership, including the president.

"So, of course, the dialogue must be mutual and reciprocal when addressing issues. And there are lots of them, including telecommunication, railway traffic, recognition of documents and so on.  We are ready for dialogue, but we must see reciprocal movement, not just slogans and proclamations," said Krasnoselsky.
