A congratulatory telegram by the leader of the Just Russia party, Sergey Mironov, notes that over the years of Pridnestrovie's existence has proved its validity, its ability to protect consistently the interests of citizens, to achieve results in building more just society. According to the Russian MP, Pridnestrovian residents and Russian citizens have deep ties of friendship, mutual understanding and respect, the president's website cites Mironov’s telegram.
The leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, stresses in his congratulation that 25 years after Pridnestrovie's establishment the international community can see the positive results of the fateful event which resulted in a new sovereign, independent democratic country appearing on the map. The LDPR faction respects the independence of the PMR as a natural and necessary condition for the existence of its statehood, its desire for political and socio-economic stability in the country, says Zhirinovsky's telegram.
The first deputy chairman of the State Duma committee on CIS, Eurasian integration and relations with compatriots, Konstantin Zatulin, underscores that «the establishment of the PMR was an act of popular will. Over the past years the country has had to repeatedly prove its resilience, readiness and ability to defend its choice. Pridnestrovie's statehood is based on the unity of the multi-ethnic Pridnestrovian people, confidence in Russia's support. This is all the more important in the current troubled time when Moldova and Ukraine have rallied together in an attempt to compel Pridnestrovie to surrender through blockades and provocations. The people who are proud of their Suvorov past cannot be put on knees.”
