Tiraspol, July 29. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. President Vadim Krasnoselsky has distributed a message on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of deployment of Russian peacekeeping forces in Pridnestrovie.
«25 years have passed from the day of deployment of Russian peacekeeping forces in Pridnestrovie. All this time, peace in the region is maintained thanks to implementation of one of the most effective peacemaking operations in history under the auspices of Russia.
Signing of the Agreement d.d. 7.21.1992 became the beginning of the peacekeeping mechanism which provided a basis for peaceful search of ways and options of final settlement," it is said in the document.
Vadim Krasnoselsky has highlighted that the Russian peacekeepers provided peace and safety on the Dniester during the most difficult and critical periods of relationship between Moldova and Pridnestrovie. They are highly respected and find credence of the Pridnesrtrovian people.
«Dear representatives of the Russian Peacekeeping Forces military contingent! I express you deep gratitude for your invaluable contribution to maintenance of peace and safety on the Pridnestrovian land. For us, have been and are still an embodiment of freedom and confidence in the future. Let our Pridnestrovian skies will be always peaceful, clear and bright!» the head of state concluded.
