Government approves e-commerce development concept

The document significantly increases business opportunities

Tiraspol, 29 June. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The government has adopted the concept of e-commerce development. The document lays out its basic principles, priorities, goals and objectives. Developed at the initiative of the e-commerce committee under the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, it will promote the competitive environment, the growth of modern infrastructure and the creation of additional jobs.

«The implementation of the concept is expected to eliminate unnecessary barriers to entrepreneurship development, enhancing the business environment, increasing transactions, turnover, exports of goods, work and services through an increase in the number transactions and e-shops and other information intermediaries, the creation of conditions," explained the minister of economic development, Sergey Obolonik.

He underscored that the document met the modern requirements of business development as a whole. E-commerce is rapidly gaining momentum and serves as an engine for many processes in this area. Besides, new opportunities do not only open up for large business but also for small and medium enterprises.

«The adoption of the concept is a fundamental basis for further work. In addition, there are measures, developed as part of roadmaps, which will require, among other things, the development of e-government, the possibility of electronic relations between economic agents and participation in the development of digital signatures. Also, within 1.5 months we plan to implement a number of proposals regarding the development of a cryptocurrency system in Pridnestrovie," underscored Sergey Obolonik.
