Tiraspol, 28 June. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. From 27 to 29 June candidates are being selected in Pridnestrovie to join the country's official delegation at the 19th International Youth Festival, which will be held in Russia's Sochi in October.
Over 450 Pridnestrovians are reported to have already applied for participation in the festival, but only one in five will be able to represent the country at such a grand event.
Since most applications have come from Tiraspol, it is there that the republican organising committee, formed by the government's decree, began interviewing applicants on 27 June. Contenders had to speak briefly about themselves and answer questions from committee members.
Today, 28 June, the committee is holding a face-to-face selection round in Bendery, Slobodzeya District and Dnestrovsk. On 29 June interviews will be conducted in Grigoripol, Dubossary, Rybnitsa and Kamenka.
The names of 100 lucky winners — undoubtedly the most active, artistic and ambitious young people aged 18−35 — will be announced on 29 June.
