Tiraspol, 12 April. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The official websites of governmental agencies and state-run enterprises will be located in Pridnestrovie. The Supreme Council has backed on first reading the government's bill providing for the relocation of the websites of governmental agencies to Pridnestrovie-based servers.
The government believes such an approach will enhance the state's information security and exclude the risks of hosting government agencies' websites on foreign servers.
According to the government, the possible danger may include not only discontinuation of these servers but also publishing unreliable information on the websites on behalf of the state authorities.
Russia adopted a similar law in 2014 after western sanctions had been imposed on it.
