Tiraspol, 10 April. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. This Sunday, 9 April, saw the final day of the Presidential Kickboxing Cup tournament, which was held in Tiraspol for three days. At stake were 23 sets of medals.
Participants were divided into three age categories: cadets, youth and adults. A title fight was held in the adult's group for the championship of CIS and Baltic states. Tiraspol fighter Denis Teleshman defended the belt, which he won two years ago, against Ukraine's Artur Zakirko.
Teleshman knocked down twice his opponent during the fight after which the Ukrainian team decided their kickboxer was unable to continue the fight. Thus, Denis Teleshman managed to retain the title.
The organisers and guests appreciated the conduct of the first presidential cup and promised to return the following year.
