Tiraspol, March 20. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Since the beginning of this year, the list of benefits and discounts for the Pridnestrovie's pensioners has been broadened. As the head of the Pridnestrovie's Social Security State Service Margarita Shemetova reminded, all pensioners had 25% discount (within the established norms) for utility services payment, namely for heat energy, hot water supply, electric power and gas. At Those who lives alone can count on the 50% discount.
A half of all the some is paid by the pensioners regardless of the fact, whether or not they live alone, pay both for cold water and for wastewater disposal. Besides, the state has also helped with payment for gas since the beginning of this year.
«According to the current legislation, it is established that all natural persons using benefits have a right for a 100% gas payment discount. It means that pensioners also use the 100% gas payment discount within an established social norm today," Margarita Shemetova explained.
Trolleybus fare has also become free again. The new authorities of the republic cancelled the previously introduced payment of 1 ruble.
There is one more innovation for the pensioners residing in the republic according to the long-term registration, but receiving pensions in the foreign states. Since January 1, 2017, they have begun using the same benefits and discounts as the pensioners registered in the social security authorities of the republic.
The Social Security Ministry prepared amendments to the law fixing that the foreign pensioners having the Pridnestrovie’s citizenship and residing in the republic not according to the long-term registration, but having a permanent registration also fell within the ambit of the provisions.
«The categories of the citizens receiving pensions in the foreign state address us, however they have no temporary, but a permanent registration, and due to that fact they don't use these benefits. After considering all these issues and applications of citizens, the Social Security and Labor Ministry prepared relevant amendments to the current legislation in order that those categories were also provided with benefits," Margarita Shemetova noted.
The legislative initiative has been submitted to the Government. If it is approved by the Supreme Council, the benefit will also extend to this category.
