Tiraspol, 20 February. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. The Supreme Council has hosted a news conference today on the results of a working visit of Pridnestrovian MPs to Moscow. As we have reported, from 14 to 17 February the Pridnestrovian delegation visited the Russian Federation.
As Supreme Council speaker Alexander Shcherba noted today, one of the major items on the visit's agenda was the establishment of contacts with Russia's regional authorities.
«We paid an official visit to the Moscow City Duma. Our colleague particularly informed us how Moscow determines the efficiency of using industrial objects related to the placement of sales premises. After studying this experience, we will certainly propose our colleagues in the cities and districts of the PMR at the level of heads of state administrations, local councils to put it into practice," said the speaker.
He also announced that agreements were reached with the leadership of Moscow Oblast on cooperation with the districts and cities of the PMR.
«We were proposed to establish direct contacts at the level of the cities and districts of the PMR and the districts of Moscow Oblast, which has managed to create 200,000 new jobs over the past three years. We are facing the same task, though not so large-scale," noted Shcherba.
«The experience Moscow Oblast has in the sphere of both industrial production and agriculture and processing will be the subject of direct contacts. We have secured the desire of the cities and districts of Moscow Oblast to cooperate with the cities and districts of the PMR," added the MP.
According to Alexander Shcherba, efficient work in this direction depends on the Pridnestrovian side as well.
«The ball is on our side. If we give certain practical effect to all this and are able to prepare specific documents, Moscow and Moscow Oblast will be ready to sign trade, socio-economic agreements of any kind not only in sharing experience but also in establishing direct contacts," the speaker explained.
