'We understand that terrorism is a main threat which, unfortunately, isn't evident. Terrorism is everywhere and it strikes civilians. In this case, the ambassador of the Russian Federation in Turkey has been killed. Such cases have already been in the Russian history. It is necessary to understand that it is a revenge of terrorism for the compelling stand of Russia on Syria in the fight against the international terrorism,' the chairman of the Supreme Council Committee on Non-Governmental Organisations, Sport, Media and Youth Policy Igor Buga noted.
Armed attack on the Russian ambassador occured in Ankara on Monday evening. Karlov was wounded at the opening of a photo exhibition titled «Russia in the eyes of Turks' in Ankara and died. The Russian MFA regarded the event as a terrorist attack.
