Seven Pridnestrovian school children get Star Child title in Russia's Orlyonok children centre

This high title is granted to the most active and creative children

Tiraspol, 29 November. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. From 7 to 27 November twelve Pridnestrovian school children took part in the 12th session of the Zvyezdny [Starry] camp of the Russian Children's Centre Orlyonok. They were all the winners of the Patriots of Russia and Young Patriot of Pridnestrovie contests organised by the Dniester-Prut Centre of the Russian Institute for Strategic Studies (RISS) and the Ministry of Education of the PMR.

During the session, which was dedicated to the Young Traffic Inspectors movement, the kids took part in theatrical performances, sports competitions, excursions and boat trips. In addition, they made a presentation of Pridnestrovie to their new friends.

Seven kids from the Pridnestrovian delegation were awarded a Star Child title — the camp's highest award which is granted to the most active and creative children.

«It is not the first year that Pridnestrovian children have visited Orlyonok. As before, this year the kids have showed themselves well and taken an active part in the camp's life. This suggests that the contests we organise contribute to the development of children's creative talents, as well as to the strengthening of friendship between Russian and Pridnestrovian children," said the head of scientific programmes of the RISS's Dniester-Prut Centre, Georgy Meniaylo.
