Grigoriopol district, 11 October. /Novosti Pridnestrovya/. Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Russian President's Special Envoy on Pridnestrovie Dmitry Rogozin took part in the inauguration of a new school in the village of Tashlyk, Grigoriopol district. In his speech he recalled the extensive work carried out from 2012 onwards in the Republic with the assistance of the Russian Federation.

«The Russian Leadership thought how to help their compatriots in Pridnestrovie, and then it was decided to assist in what concerns ordinary everyday life, what relates to your future and your children's future. All this has been done with the assistance of the leadership of the republic. Many talks have been carried out with President Yevgeny Shevchuk. ANO Eurasian Integration was formed to provide assistance," said Rogozin.

He recalled that the work had been conducted under difficult conditions caused, among other factors, by the Ukrainian events of late 2013-early 2014, when «a coup actually occurred and brought about the disintegration of the traditional brotherly relations». Then followed economic sanctions.

«The funds allocated to assist Pridnestrovie significantly dropped in value due to exchange rate differences. Another problem was that many Pridnestrovians were working outside the country. Good specialists had to leave the republic to earn money for their loved ones," said the Russian politician.

Among the problems Dmitry Rogozin also mentioned was the supply of equipment. According to him, «a lot of obstacles were put» in this respect.

«This is why the today's holiday is taking place with the understanding of the efforts that have been made to make it all happen. The republic was in an economic blockade, lacking the essentials. Nevertheless, 12 social facilities with an area of 45,000 sqm, including five kindergartens, four hospitals, two schools, a building of the medical department of Pridnestrovian State University, were built. Assistance was provided in training doctors and equipping medical and education facilities; eight ambulances were purchased and donated as humanitarian assistance," said Dmitry Rogozin.

He also recalled that since 1 September 2013, 19 lecture-rooms had been repaired in PSU; three groups of doctors had been sent to Russia for refresher training. On the request of the Healthcare Ministry, an ultra sound diagnostic unit was purchased and donated. On 9 May 2014 four modern trolleybuses were presented to the republic; a concrete batching plant was put into operation.

Dmitry Rogozin also recalled the work conducted by Russian rescuers together with their Pridnestrovian and Moldovan colleagues to dismantle a wrecking cable road in Rybnitsa.

«We have supplied Pridnestrovian schools with contemporary Russian-language literature. Over 500,000 textbooks were printed here, in Pridnestrovie, not only to make such a present to Pridnestrovian schools, but also to busy the printing house. Kindergartens, schools and other facilities (42 in number) have been repaired," said the Russian official.

He added that Russia had also helped Pridnestrovie to organise the census.

«We will further continue this work. We have met and discussed prospects with new MPs. What's being done today will be there tomorrow. Different political events happen and pass, and Pridnestrovie shall remain! You should know that Russia will always be beside you. The Russian president is interested in the accomplished work at every new facility," underscored Dmitry Rogozin.

According to him, Russia will continue to be a guarantor of the security in Pridnestrovie and will also ensure «that life in the republic is becoming better, more interesting, more honest, and the local population will see a larger perspective in the development of relations between Russia and Pridnestrovie».
